Vancouver English School CSLI Provides Media Pit Stop in Yaletown
Vancouver’s uber-trendy Yaletown district is a major hub of activity with the Olympic Games now in full swing, so it’s not uncommon to see journalists and their crews from all over the world lugging around equipment for as many as 14 hours a day looking for that next great Olympic street story.
Lawrence Keenan, Director of ESL school CSLI, located at the corner of Nelson and Cambie in the heart of all the excitement, wants to lend a hand.
“We’d love to open our doors to media for a break from the crowds, but we’ve seen first-hand how hard these important news ambassadors have been working to tell the Olympic story to their folks back home”, says Keenan. “We figured the least we could do was give them somewhere to take a quick break.”
So, for anyone with valid press credentials, CSLI is offering its facilities as a “media pit stop”, hosting a relaxing lounge area with coffee and tea, wireless Internet, use of washrooms, and perhaps even a few welcome words in the journalists’ native language.
“CSLI hosts adult students from over 50 countries worldwide.” Keenan adds “So we can welcome pretty much anyone in their native language along with a newsworthy story.”
The service is offered free of charge between the hours of 10am and 4pm Monday through Saturday. For more information, contact:
