Overseas Volunteer Program
As an extension of our education programs in Sri Lanka we are beginning an exciting new project – the Overseas Volunteer Program! Sonia Herndier, (public school teacher and mother of our staffer, Erika) was our first ‘pilot’ graciously volunteering her time and skills to help teach English to Rose Charities staff and teachers in Kalmunai.

| Jonathan Hall becomes the latest UTW volunteer to contribute in Sri Lanka. He departs September 2012 for three months and will be putting his qualified teaching skills to use in Kalmunai, teaching English to local staff, students and teachers.
